1. What TwendeTrips is
TwendeTrips is a marketplace connecting independent trip leaders with travellers across Kenya. We do not own vehicles, accommodation, or transport, and we are not a tour operator. Leaders are independent and responsible for the trips they run.
2. Bookings and payment
When you book a spot, your payment (trip price plus the service fee shown at checkout) is held by TwendeTrips in escrow. It is released to the trip leader after the trip’s end date, minus a 48–72 hour hold period during which disputes can be raised.
3. Cancellations and refunds
Full refund if you cancel 14 or more days before departure. 50% refund at 7–13 days. No refund inside 7 days. You always receive a full refund if the leader cancels the trip or it fails to reach its published minimum group size.
4. Leader responsibilities
Leaders must provide accurate trip details, hold the verification tier displayed on their listing, and add a real profile photo before publishing a trip. Misrepresenting a trip or a leader’s identity is grounds for removal from the platform.
5. Reviews
Travellers and leaders review each other after a trip. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are fabricated, abusive, or unrelated to the trip itself.
6. Limits of what we guarantee
TwendeTrips verifies leader identity and, where claimed, transport licensing. We do not guarantee the quality of any individual trip experience, weather, wildlife sightings, or third-party services booked outside the platform.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date above.
